I run Wildlife-Watching Courses throughout the year.

In general each course has Discussion Groups (usually on a Thursday evening) and Field Trips (usually on a Saturday).

A Discussion Group is on a theme, often chosen to compliment the next field trip. There is optional reading that you can do before the session... sharing what we have each learnt will help inform the discussion. Note, this pre-session reading is optional and you can enjoy the Course without doing it. There will also be handouts during the session to help you reflect on what we are covering and provide reference material to add to your personal wildlife library.

The discussions will be chaired to ensure that everybody gets equal opportunities to contribute. There will be activities and presentations by me as well as just discussion-based work, so you may choose to mainly listen... however to give everyone an equal chance to take part I will actively encourage:- 1. listening to other people's answers and; 2. contributions that are not too long.

A Field Trip will generally be less than 1 hour's drive from Poole. I will aim to keep the distance walked to less than 3 miles to ensure the course is as accessible as possible (note, we may be travelling over uneven terrain such as walking through forest or along the beach or along a cliff path). We can't walk that far anyway as we want to spend as much time as possible watching wildlife and not walking!

We will operate a lift-share system. This is optional - you do not have to give or accept a lift if you don't want to. Additionally, it is possible to arrange a space in my car before you book on if you do not have transport and want to be sure. Note, the majority of the time I will arrange a location which is accessible by public transport.

Visit the booking area to make a booking online (also explains how to make a booking by post or by phone).

If you want to know more before you book on I recommend reading the Course Description. You are also very welcome to contact me for a chat.
